Copper Nike Flightposite
Flightposite I now is releasing a Copper version of itself. This pair comes in a black and metallic copper colorway. Very similar to the original ‘Metallic Gold’ edition, with copper in place of gold. Black accents are found in the usual places while a full icy translucent outsole finishes them off which is also a first on the Flightposite.
The ‘Copper’ Nike Air Flightposite 2014 hits nike.com as well as select Nike Sportswear retailers on Saturday, September 27.

A little known history on the Flightposite I. Nike Basketball’s releases over the past 20 years represent the definition and redefinition of the hoops shoe. A 20-year work-in-progress. In 1999, the Nike Air Flightposite was born.
The Nike Air Flightposite succeeded in surprising the audience with a progressive dose of unfamiliarity that felt comfortable and strangely familiar. Its sleek, biomechanical shape communicated a certain level of humanity.
The Nike Air Flightposite’s lead designer, Eric Avar recalls, “There were several concept cars out at the time that had a fluid, organic feel. We built off a similar idea that the shoe should be an extension of your foot versus this mechanical, cold ‘thing’.”
