If you been rocking with us you already know the homie Freehand Profit is family, and we've been working with each other for quite some time now. I thought it would be cool to take a look back at one of the photo shoots I was involved in back in late 2014!
Flashing back to this shoot brings back so many cool memories. This shoot was done in downtown Canal St, NY and at DUMBO in Brooklyn NY. The Lebron 9 mask is a tribute to ODB and as you can see, it's sick! I was more than happy to throw on some biker denim, My Lebron Taxi 9s equipped with the red Scarab Lace locks by Freehand Profit, and of course the latest 8&9 gear to match! "A lil something this evening for Wu Wednesday, a new sneaker gas mask by Freehand Profit. The 81st sneaker mask is made from a single pair of Nike Lebron 9 Elite “Taxi” sneakers. This piece was commissioned by a long time collector who made the special request that his “Taxi” mask be a continuation of the Wu Tribute series of masks. Specifically, he wanted a mask to represent the late great Ol’ Dirty Bastard."
“I tried to embody ODB’s style, how unique and wild it was. The mask had to be like no other mask I’ve made. There’s little things that will sink in if you look close. Like the ‘killa bee’ form, or the fact that this is the first mask that I incorporated the air unit into the canister.” – Freehand Profit
