The demo of the trailer for God of War was revealed at Sony’s E3 2016 conference.  I've been a big fan of this franchise and been waiting for this releases since the last one that came out in 2012. The last six games were set in Greece. This new God of War is set in a more Nordic timeline ,with a much older Kratos , now accompanied by his son. 

Kratos has always been a character who’s made the wrong choices, and had to pay for the consequences of those mistakes. “What if he got a chance to do things differently?” Barlog told me. "To try to do things better?” - IGN

From the demo it seems like that you will be able to play as Kratos & his son, "This game is about Kratos teaching his son how to be a god, and his son teaching Kratos how to be human again.”
