Recipe For A Happy Thanksgiving With Weed Turkey!
Marijuana may not be legal in every state, but for those who have legal access to cannabis, a new video series is showing pot lovers how to make an entire Thanksgiving meal using the plant. The cut.com gave the steps to creating this weed infused turkey. Happy Thanksgiving!
TURKEY Preparation Steps:
In order to bake a marijuana-infused turkey, you must first create your own cannabutter using two sticks or one cup of unsalted butter, 1/4 ounce ground weed and 1/2 cup water. Start by bringing the water and butter to a simmer in a saucepan on low to medium head. When the butter begins to melt, it is time to add in ground marijuana. Keeping the heat on low, allow the mixture to simmer for two to three hours while stirring occasionally and making sure the liquid never starts to boil. After you are done simmering the mixture, pour the heated butter and water into a glass jar, using a cheesecloth to strain out the marijuana. Make sure to thoroughly squeeze the weed caught by the cheesecloth in order to get as much liquid out of it as possible.
at this point, the marijuana has done its job, and you can throw it out. Meanwhile, you need to cover and refrigerate the liquid overnight - or at least until the butter is hardened. When it is full hardened, the butter will separate from the water and you will be able to remove the cannabutter and put it in a separate container.
Only after completing these steps are you able to begin cooking your cannabis marinated turkey. For the special marijuana-infused marinade, combine 1/4 ounce weed, three tablespoons cannabutter, 2/3 cup chicken stock, 1/3 cup maple syrup, three tablespoons lemon juice, three diced cloves of garlic in a saucepan, adding salt and pepper, before simmering on low for 15 minutes.
Allow the liquid to cool while you rub the turkey with 1/2 cannabutter, salt, and pepper. Then inject the marinade into the turkey in equal amounts.
After pre-heating the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, pour two cups of broth or water into the roasting pan, place the turkey in the oven and lower the heat to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
You should remove the turkey from the oven and baste it with the remaining marinade every 45 minutes until it is cooked.
