After coming off of two back to back successful seasons and  posting records of 13-3 and 11-4-1 which also included there first trip to the Super Bowl since 1994, the San Francisco  49ers look to continue there success as they prepare for the 2-13-2014 campaign. With key acquisitions such as veteran wide receiver Anquan Boldin defensive end Glenn Dorsey ,and first round draft pick Eric Reid, the 49ers have bolstered a roster that  is already impressive as it is deep. The defense which was ranked 4th in the NFL last year returns virtually everyone,10 starters 6 of which were pro bowlers in last years campaign.

The offense looks to build upon the dominant run game and continue to develop they’re new face of the franchise Colin Kaepernick . Coming off of a season where he led his team to the super bowl after not being named the starter till mid-season, he looks to capitalize on his opportunity and show the league that his performance as well as the his team mates were no fluke.
