Jordan 2 White and Red
The Jordan 2 is one of Jordan Brands featured silhouettes this year dropping in about a half a dozen color-schemes with a few that haven’t been revealed. One of the Highlight releases in the Jordan 2 category will be the Jordan 2 White and Red which is an original color-scheme from 1986-87. These have only been retro’d one once before back in 2008 apart of the Countdown Packs. And now 28 Years after its original release the Jordan 2 White and Red will be back kicking off the summer for Jordan Brand hitting retailers June 7th. The Jordan 2 White and Red features an all white leather with red accents sporting a reptilian like mudguard spawned from its Nike counterpart the Nike Air Python and from the Iguana skin used when the sneakers were first produced in Italy. The Jordan 2 White and Red was designed with the controversy in mind the Jordan 1 and Nike created breaking the NBA’s foot-wear regulations when they introduced the Bred Jordan 1’s. Paying $5000 every game Jordan whore the sneakers. The Jordan 2 White and Red on the other hand played it safe sporting a White upper with small red accents as most sneakers did at the time. The Jordan 2 White and Red was also released in a low-top version and a Black and Red design which again tested the boundaries of foot-wear in the NBA at the time but slipped underneath the radar. This was right before the Jordan Tinker era designed by Peter Moore and Bruce Kilgore originally priced at roughly $60’s.
