Ryan K : First and foremost thank you for joining us and taking the time out to do this exclusive interview with 8and9.com For those who might not be familiar with MANN please tell us a bit about your background, where your from and what you represent.
Mann: My name is Dijon Shariff Thames aka Mann. I’m from West LA. I have a lot of city pride so I alway say where I’m from whenever I get a chance to. I love making music and performing. I’m kinda just a performing arts cat, was never into sports , or anything of that nature. I think a lot of young LA is like me in that sense, the city is so creative so it birthed a lot of creative people, which is why there are a lot of west coast artist coming out of the woodworks. I’m also a thinker. That’s me in a nutshell.

As part of my Noisemakers Interview Series, I sat down with the legend, Nasty Nas, for an in depth interview in front of a couple of thousand of our closest friends. The event went down on Friday March 16th at The Belmont in Austin Texas.

New details have been revealed in the death of singer Whitney Houston, who passed away at the age of 48 on Saturday (February 11).
The singer was found unresponsive in her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel by a member of her entourage. Paramedics were called and they tried to perform CPR on her, but it did not work and she was pronounced dead at 3:55PM PST, according to TMZ.
Whitney was to attend Clive Davis‘ annual party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel this evening. TMZ also reports that Whitney had spoken to her cousin Dionne Warwick and mother Cissy Houston just before her death about attending the party and that everything seemed fine.
