The 2015 Nike Doernbecher Freestyle Collection is here and we have the official pics and release info! This time around they have included the Jordan 13. The Air Jordan 13 “Doernbecher” was designed by Doernbecher Children's Hospital patient john who is diagnosed with crohns disease.Designing his signature Air Jordan 13 was a chance for John to share his unique skills with the world. His sneaker features his soccer number, a cartoon kid with a raised brow and those seven pills to represent the medicine he takes to manage the disease.
alos featured if you flip the shoe over and you’ll see the word “Crohn’s” on the out-sole. “When I’m walking, I want to literally stomp out the disease with every step,” John declares. Right behind this statement, the words COURAGE, STRENGTH and FIGHT surround the mid-sole, backing John’s every stride against his illness.
The Air Jordan 13 “Doernbecher” will be available in men’ and GS sizing beginning Sunday, November 21st at select Jordan Brand retail stores, with all proceeds from the sales of the entire collection benefiting OHSU Doernbecher. The retail price tag is set at $225 USD.
